I started Pinetrees in 1985, at our family villa where we have lived since 1972. All my life I have been involved with tourism and horses so this career was a natural move for me.
My principal professional training was at the prestigious Talland School of Equitation where I gained the British Horse Society Intermediate Teaching Certificate. Later I achieved the B.H.S. Equestrian Tourism Centre Manager diploma and qualifications in riding for disabled riders – something which I particularly have a passion for.
I do enjoy teaching with the wonderful Lusitano horses and I have been greatly influenced by training with the late Nuno Oliveira and also by the methods of Sylvia Loch in classical equitation. Working with so many different nationalities at Pinetrees, I can teach in half a dozen languages.
