UAE, Portugal trade on solid track
The UAE is one of the largest trading partners of Portugal. Trade between the two countries has grown within the past decade. Portugal’s main exports to the UAE are telecommunications equipment’s, minerals and wood. The UAE’s main exports to Portugal are polyethylene, textiles and machinery equipment’s.
The Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture Industries, or AIMMP in short has made a significant impact at the Dubai Wood Show 2024, which opened at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre on Tuesday . As the premier event for the Middle East’s wood, furniture accessories, and woodworking machinery industry, the show serves as the ideal platform for Portuguese brands to demonstrate their excellence and quality on a global stage.
Vitor Pocas, President of the AIMMP told Gulf Today that his country sees huge potential in the UAE’s woods and furniture market, adding that twelve leading Portuguese are exhibiting a wide range of sustainable and innovative products at the region’s premier industry event.
